Hengistbury Head

Yesterday, year 6 visited Hengistbury Head as part of our U.K. and coasts topic. We looked at the longshore drift at the beach and identified coastal defences put in place. We pointed out local landmarks and investigated the geology and erosion of the cliff. In addition, we explored the visitor centre. What was your favourite activity? What did you learn?

  1. My favourite part of the trip was the visitor centre because it had lots of things in it. It was very tiring.

  2. I really enjoyed this trip today however I was worried if it was going to rain while visiting. My favourite part of the trip was when we went up the cliff and sat at the top because the view was amazing. Thank you so much teachers for taking us on this lovely trip and making sure we were extremely safe. Thank you!! 🙂
