The character display is now up. We are talking about these positive character traits at school and have held assemblies about most of them, with more planned for the future. We are also planning awards for children demonstrating their character in the near future.

A night in the museum…

5B had a wonderful overnight stay at the Novium museum in Chichester, all thanks to Ella who won a writing competition on the subject of star gazers and a dream space job. Here’s what she had to say about the experience:

“When all the lights were turned off and we were searching for clues with torches it was really fun. We went to all the different parts of the museum and solved the mystery that they set us… we did lots of other fun activities, like building rockets, before we went to sleep and before we had our breakfast. The midnight snack was great and we felt really special. I’m glad I entered the competition!”

Home Learning

There was so much magnificent home learning that came back to school after the holidays that we could hardly squeeze it onto our display spaces. We really appreciate the time and effort that went into these pieces.

Frozen planet

Year 5 really enjoyed venturing into the Science Dome today to start their topic about the ‘Frozen Kingdom’. There have been some unbelievable pieces of home learning about ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ too.

Clubs are now underway after school. Please be aware that there are new groupings for these clubs in order for access to be fair for those wanting to participate. Do not hesitate to contact the office or Mr Pettefer should you have any questions.
