Congratulations to the Year 5 pupils involved in the concert yesterday as well as to their conductor, Mrs Murray. You showed everything that you have learned skillfully.
Due to secondary transition processes beginning in September for our Year 5 pupils, we are holding an information evening which is being supported by Bournemouth Council. This meeting will outline the relevant administrative procedures and there will be the opportunity to ask any questions that parents of the relevant pupils may have.
The meeting will be held on Monday 5th June at 6 pm.
We are so impressed with the quality of the homework that children produce. Here is an example of a piece where a child has shown creativity when completing a research activity. Well done. Your homework wowed us all.
Year 5 are working towards their RYA level 1 certificate very well. They learnt how to rectify their boats following capsizing during their last session.
The Year 4 pupils had a wonderful time at Carey Camp this week. They showed a wide range of character traits, particularly inter-dependence and courage. We are sure that they will sleep well tonight!
Whilst many of our pupils have been at Carey Camp this week, pupils still at school have been taking part in an advertising project. They designed a new sea themed cookie range, baked the cookies and then created their packaging.
Our Year 3 children and children from Queen’s Park Infants showed excellent teamwork when they joined together to play football this afternoon. The mini-tournaments were a big success and it was great to see the younger pupils taking their first steps into our Academy ahead of next year’s move.
Children from different year groups went to Southbourne tennis club today, taking part in activities with children from other schools and specialist coaches.
Year 3 produced some excellent pencil observational drawings of Roman items this afternoon. Excellent concentration led to excellent pieces!
