Assembly

JR

Today’s assembly told the story of Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era. We learned about the self-control and grit that Mr Robinson showed throughout his life, especially when facing a constant stream of racism against him. This was an excellent opportunity to remind our pupils about the core British value of equality in all areas of life, as well as about justice and fairness for all.

‘It is not necessary to react to everything you notice.’
