There are lots of signs of new life in the QPA garden! Mrs Moore and Mrs Robertson are hard at work with their teams growing both flowers and vegetables. Edible produce will be making its way to the kitchen for Mrs Powell to use during cookery classes, once ready. The new shed is also now being used every day – our thanks go to our wonderful PTA for their financial support to enable its purchase.
Congratulations to all of our sailors who achieved their level one sailing qualification from the Royal Yachting Association. Any Year 5 pupils wishing to take to the waters will be able to in the summer term!
The QPA allotment is bearing fruit – literally! We have tomatoes, potatoes and rhubarb being taken to the kitchen. Many thanks to all of the children in gardening club who have worked so hard, as well as to Mrs Hayward and her apprentices, Mrs Moore and Mrs Robertson.
One of the many clubs running after school at QPA is Creative Club, which is run by ‘The Creative Station’. They have been creating all sorts of projects this year, including this ‘top secret’ one!
Lots going on this lunchtime. The table tennis tables are out and the gardeners are making preparations for this year’s Bournemouth in bloom competition.
Science club started this afternoon – the children are busily experimenting with how to create bath bombs. Hockey, cookery, creative club and yoga are also all underway!
Gardening club are getting ready for Spring – planting seeds in recycled containers from the kitchens. The rhubarb, cabbages and cauliflowers are coming along nicely too.
