We are constantly amazed at the standard of homework that comes into school and were again wowed at the incredible models that are now on display having been created over the Christmas holidays. Year 4 have produced mountains, Year 5 wardrobes inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia and Year 6 Anderson shelters.
Year 6 began their topic about the future with a Dragon’s Den inspired WOW day yesterday. The children were put into small groups and set the challenge of inventing and marketing a new product that would make a teacher’s life easier. They then had to pitch their idea to ‘The Dragons’. The winning group designed an app that would scan writing and identify spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. Yes please!
Today’s WOW day went really well. The children had many opportunities. They composed water themed musical pieces, created watercolour artwork, conducted a scientific test related to water purity and designed their own boats.
