Eve’s Competition Win

A huge well done to Eve in 5N who entered and won a Waterwise competition during their Water Saving Week. Not only has she produced a wonderful poster explaining how to save water but she has also won a water butt for Queen’s Park Academy, £250 and a £30 book token! Well done Eve, a fantastic achievement!

Volcano Knowledge

Look at this amazing poster from Harvey! Beautifully created from tissue paper and with all the scientific labels too. I’d also have that super smile if I’d created such an amazing poster – you should be very proud!

Year Three Are Water Wise!

Year 3 had their WOW day for their ‘Flow’ topic. They completed four activities:

  • Waterwise – a special guest worked with us to gain a better understanding about the water that we use.
  • Painting – we created water paintings having been inspired by Claude Monet’s work.
  • Science – we tested the ph levels of water from different sources.
  • Music – we made water themed pieces using a range of instruments.

Year 5 ‘WOW!’

Year 5 held their ‘WOW!’ day today. As well as creating some ‘Day of the Dead’ inspired artwork, the children sampled some food from a Mexican banquet and had a ‘Mathsico!’ interactive performance from a special visitor!

Go With The Flow!

As part of their Flow topic, our Year Three pupils are investigating the River Stour. They are surveying the river habitat, dipping in the river and examining its contents and observing local wildlife.

Each class is participating on a different day – today is 3C’s turn!
