Tomorrow is ‘Safer Internet Day’. Today’s assembly reminded pupils about some important messages in order to keep themselves safe online:
- Take a minute to think about how you and others feel before posting comment.
- Be kind and fair.
- Share with respect.
http://www.thinkuknow.co.uk is a very helpful website to view with children to support the message of staying safe online.
All children had an additional assembly about staying safe on line this afternoon with the safer schools community support team. Valuable lessons were learned about potential dangers online and how we can protect ourselves against these dangers.
A parent briefing in this area will be held today at 3:20 in the school training suite. All are welcome.
Google paid us a visit today with their virtual reality headsets. The children embarked on virtual expeditions across the globe and there were wows a plenty.
Many thanks to the PTA for their continual support for our Academy. Not only have they supported us with an amazing tablet to run our school blog but we also now have a class set of digital cameras to use.
